March 1, 1915 to April 3, 1915


 

1st of March 1915  Clear and Cold  some wind after dinner  calm in the evening

March 17th 1915 cold and windy all day

Cargo Barge off the Ways Wednesday March 17, 1915   new rakes - 14 new floores in each end   new chain fastenings  repairs all around

Tornado Digger in the River March 17, 1915   cut her in two making the Digger end 90 ft. long  the short end will be used for a float. The digger end completely rebuilt  this is the second time I have rebuilt this Digger.

Steel Barge Rankin off the Ways Wednesday March 17, 1915  repaired and Hull painted

Steamer Slackwater Docked Saturday March 20, 1915  Jas. Nutt Captain, new Cylinder timbers - new Head - new stern - 500 ft. linear of 10 x 12 gunnels - new rising pcs - new beams and decks - repairs all around This boat belongs to Uncle Sam and is used by U.S. Engineers

March 1915 very cold month often down to 18 above and morning after morning down to 20 and 22 above

First three days of April 1915 very cold and windy  Easter Sunday on the 4th   Bright sunshine

Steamer Bertha docked April 3, 1915 for broke hog chain
